The adjustable channel is made of 5/16" thick, laser-cut steel plates. These steel plates can handle high capacities without bending. And because of the laser cutting, the channel plates have consistently sized pin holes, so you can easily remove or reposition the hitch ball platform.
A 1/2" thick steel gusset is welded between the shank and the channel, bracing the mount and keeping the channel from bending, even at the maximum drop or rise.
The solid steel shank is CNC -chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver. And with no sharp edges on the shank, the powder coating is less likely to chip and peel.
Each adjustable mount includes a 2-ball platform, which fits in the adjustable channel. The 2 hitch balls are welded onto the solid steel platform for maximum strength and stability.
Finally, the pins and clips included with the ball mount are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load. The nickel undercoat with zinc topcoat provides corrosion resistance and ensures the strength of the pin.
To set up this BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount, insert the 2" x 2" shank into your hitch's receiver. Slide the 2-ball platform into the adjustable channel, then use the included pins and clips to secure the platform at the height you need. If you need to switch hitch balls, just remove the pins and clips, flip the ball platform over, and reinsert the pins and clips to secure the balls in place. It's that easy.
Because of this mount's significant drop, it's recommended that you install a stabilizer kit (358stabilizerbars - sold separately) to prevent any wobbling and to remove strain from your hitch receiver.
This BulletProof Hitches adjustable ball mount is compatible with a wide variety of accessories (sold separately). Instead of using the included ball to tow, you can install a weight distribution shank (358WEIGHTDIST) in the channel of the mount to attach your weight distribution system. Add a clevis (358CLEVIS) or shackle attachment (358EDSA) for off-road or recovery operations. Or simply add a hitch step (358STEP) to easily access your truck bed.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this BulletProof Hitches' extreme-duty adjustable two-ball mount for two-inch hitches. This adjustable ball mount has a maximum capacity of 30,000 pounds, making it ideal for extreme-duty towing. This shank is gonna slide into your two-inch hitch receiver on your vehicle, and it's ideal for vehicles with a 25 to 27-inch clearance from the ground to the bottom of the inside of the receiver tube. The adjustable height lets you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle, and the hitch ball platform is gonna slide up or down the channel, and it secures in place with these included pin and clips.
What I love about BulletProof Hitches' ball mounts is just how easy it is to remove and replace these pins and to adjust the ball mount. So this is, you're not gonna be struggling with the pins at all. I'm gonna be switching this from a 2 5/16 to my two-inch ball here and just move it down a little bit down our channel, and these pins slide in very easily. So that's really a great feature of this ball mount. Speaking of these pins, the pin and clips are made of heat-treated steel to withstand the heavy weight from your load.
And the zinc finish is gonna provide corrosion resistance. As you can see, we have eight adjustment holes with six mounting positions that are gonna be available for providing a maximum drop of about 11 1/4 inches and a maximum rise, when you flip this over, of about 11 1/2 inches. By the way, the adjustment hole diameter is gonna be 5/8 of an inch. Now, you can tow up to 12,000 pounds on the two-inch ball or up to 30,000 pounds with the 2 5/16-inch ball. The maximum tongue weight capacity is 6,000 pounds, and the hitch balls are welded to the ball platform, again, for extra sturdiness.
So everything of this ball mount speaks of quality and durability, and ruggedness. This is made in the USA of heavy-duty steel construction that's strong enough to handle large trailers and heavy cargo. And the matte powder coat finish is going to protect the ball mount from rust and corrosion even after repeated use. Again, this is an extreme-duty version by BulletProof, and it's constructed of a different grade steel than their heavy-duty ball mounts so to provide that durability and that strength that you need for extreme-duty applications. The solid steel shank is CNC chamfered, making it easy to slide the shank into and out of your hitch receiver, so there's not gonna be any sharp edges on the shank.
And that powder coating is less likely to chip and peel. Now, this powder coating is very durable. I don't think it's going to peel or flake off, or scratch, or chip off easily. Again, it just feels very thick and very durable, so I think that's gonna last you quite a long time. The hitch pin hole diameter is 5/8 of an inch, and the pin and clip or hitch lock for securing to your hitch receiver are sold separately. I would consider taking a look at a hitch lock option here at etrailer.com to secure your investment to your hitch receiver. Awesome product and great price. This Bulletproof hitch is definitely well built. I see no problems ahead with this hitch.
I bought this hitch just under one year. To date, the hitch has performed fine. HOWEVER, the cheap powder coating has turned the entire hitch into a an eyesore. Its just rusting like mad, and the powder coat is now flaking in large chunks. Looks like crap on the back of the truck. I don't even live in an area where salt accumulates or they use it on the roadway.
Sent me the wrong hitch. Ordered the 6” drop, received the 4” drop. Hitch itself is ok, powder coating wore off ball and where it goes into receiver on first use.
Fast delivery, well packed, and the hitch is bad a**, heavy duty quality and very versatile. If your looking for an adjustable hitch this is what you want!!!

Extremely noisy. Powder coat peeled almost immediately and the tolerances on the pins makes this rattle horribly. I finally got so sick of the noise I cut foam to put between the ball mount and receiver. This hitch has not seen much use and only for light duty (under 10k lbs). I won't buy another one. All of the other hitches we have are Andersen Rapid Hitch. I tried this after all the claims by BulletProof on how great they are. Very disappointed

I own several adjustable 2-1/2" hitches and like this one a lot. It isn't terribly heavy for being steel and is very easy to adjust. I like the pins versus the key-operated mechanism on my aluminum adjustable hitch. Works great with my Chevy 2500 and various trailers and boats from 5000 to 14000 lbs.

So far I am extremely happy with this hitch. It is very heavy duty. My towing capacity has changed and needed to upgrade to a heavy duty hitch. I have no doubts this is going to be Bulletproof!! It is very well built and a solid shank.
The hitch looks very well made. I recently made some changes to my 02 F250 and needed a drop hitch.I mostly pull a #10000 GTW equipment trailer but occasionally pull a #14000 GTW dump trailer and a utility trailer with a 2" ball. This hitch fits my needs perfectly.
Worst customer service ever. Took almost two months for them to deliver my purchased items to me. After a few weeks of phone calls asking where my stuff was they finally delivered my items, later than the 5-7 business days they promised as well. I will never buy anything from this website again.
